Our clients solutions incorporate hard services such as Fire, Security, HVAC and M&E services and soft services - they have a number of prestigious contracts in both the government, manufacturing and commercial blue chip sector. Due to expansion our client is recruiting for a national Business Development Manager based in Bristol.
The Role The remit of the Business Development Manager role includes:- * Development of new business with Consultants, Managing Agents and end user organisations * Identifying opportunities in the territory, taking the opportunity from initial contact to negotiating and closing the sale * Ensuring that contact is made at a senior level with key decision makers and that our client is added to the tender list for such contracts * Build a sales pipeline of opportunities that will ensure that the sales target will be met
The Candidate The Business Development Manager skills and experience required for this role:- * Proven track record in services and or solution sales and ideally an understanding of facilites and or engineering services * Experienced selling Building Maintenance Solutions inc M&E Services or Total FM contracts would be an advantage - ideally will have dealt with contracts ranging in value from £250k to over £500k in annualised contract revenue * Manage complex sales, deal with long sales cycles sometimes 6 months to 2 years and develop relationships with key decison makers, budget holders and influencers * Identify potential business opportunities, set up appointments at a senior level and develop the opportunities to ensure that our client is added to the tender list, becomes the preferred supplier and is awarded the contract * Team player, able to motivate internal staff to support sales initiatives and be able to communicate and present solutions at Board Level and negotiate and close sales * Computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver results
