Details The Company
Our client is a Building Managed Services company that provides Facilities Management contracts for a number of prestigious clients in the Public and Private sector. They are a financially solid organisation that has grown significantly over the last 5 years due to the provision of excellent customer service. Due to expansion they are recruiting for a Business Development Manager based in or around Hertfordshire.

The Role
The purpose and remit of the Business Development Manager role:-
* Development of new business in the Corporate Marketplace
* Identifying opportunities in the territory, taking the opportunity from initial contact to negotiating and closing the sale
* Ensuring that contact is made at a senior level with key decision makers and that our client is added to the tender list for such contracts
* Build a sales pipeline of high value opportunities that will ensure that the sales target will be met for the year

The Candidate
The Business Development Manager skills and experience required:-
* Commercially astute and have a proven track record in sales, ideally in the FM marketplace incorporating one or all of the following:- Hard Services or M&E or building maintenance or Building Services is essential
* Experienced selling contracts ranging in value from 500k to over 1 million+ in annualised contract revenue
* Personal charisma, able to identify potential business opportunities, able to set up appointments at senior level with those potential customers, and develop the opportunities to ensure that our client is added to the tender list, becomes the preferred supplier and is awarded the contract
* Team player, able to motivate internal staff to support sales initiatives
* Capable passionate and enthusiastic Business Development Manager with the will to win, who is tenacious especially when dealing with long sales cycles
* Computer literate, organised, able to prioritise and deliver results

The Reward
In return, the Business Development Manager will receive an excellent remuneration salary of 55k - 65k basic plus 20% uncapped OTE (many of the sales team earn over 6 figures). There is also a company pension and healthcare scheme and 25 days holiday. As this role has come about due to company expansion our client offers rapid career progression with the opportunity to move into a Senior Management / Director role in the future.
